Diet and Lifestyle Coaching for Individuals
Group Classes
Food and Chemical Sensitivities
Not to be confused with food allergies, these are foods and chemicals that can cause reactions up to 72 hours after ingestion, are often dose related and can cause a range of symptoms that include joint pain, gastro-intestinal distress, migraines, fuzzy thinking and fatigue. Usually more than one or two foods and chemicals are involved thus making identification difficult. There are a variety of options for identifying problem foods. Starting with an extensive dietary assessment, a plan of action will be developed to immediately help reduce symptoms and begin to identify trigger foods. In addition to traditional elimination diets, other options include the Lifestyle Eating and Performance (LEAP) and Mediator Release Testing® which screens for 100 foods and 30 chemicals.
Irritable Bowel Syndrome and Migraines
Frustrated and confused by treatments you have tried and information you have read? Many factors can cause or influence both of these diseases and sorting them out can be an overwhelming task. During your first appointment, your diet and medical history will be evaluated and a plan of action will be developed to immediately help reduce symptoms. A systematic method of problem-solving will allow you to build a food plan based on your preferences and lifestyle.
Disordered Eating & Weight Management
Know a lot about dieting but still struggling with your weight? Lasting change develops from tailoring a plan that respects your life and its many demands. Coaching recognizes what you already do well and directs your plan of action around this self-knowledge. A coach provides an outsider’s insight into efforts to modify your diet, physical activity level or other lifestyle changes. This perspective can objectively assess what is needed to make your efforts easier and more consistent. My coaching experience will help you make diet and lifestyle changes through a systematic method of problem-solving and by providing the resources to do it.
